Compassionate counselling, right when you need it.

Counselling for individuals 18+, in person in Yaletown, Downtown Vancouver, and online across British Columbia, with a compassionate, trauma-informed therapist who has walked this road herself.

Everyone carries something.

The past shapes all of us. We all have something that influences how we think, feel, and move through the world. And yet so many people go without support, because asking for help can still feel like a big step.

My name is Melinda Freitas, and I'm a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Vancouver. I believe therapy is for everyone, and I work to make it accessible at the level you need it. I also like to surprise people by making therapy feel, dare I say it, enjoyable.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you reach out. That's what we work through together.

Your choice of setting

Meet with me in person at my Yaletown office in downtown Vancouver, or connect by secure video from anywhere in British Columbia. Many counsellors never went back to the office. I did, because for a lot of people, sitting in the same room makes a real difference. If video fits your life better, that works too.
